Have you never tried golf before ? Well Swingfit is the perfect place to start. We run beginner programs for all age groups at each of our Academies. We will even provide all the equipment for your first course of group lessons saving you the expense until

Schools Partnerships

Swingfit is keen to work with schools to integrate a full golfing program from first swing to junior champion into the extra curricular activities. We launched a pilot with Oakhill school in Knysna at the start of the year and have 40 juniors in the program. Some of these children had not played the game before this year.

Holiday Camps

What to do in the holidays ? Swingfit has put together some fun, interactive holiday programs, typically structured over a week. We aim to arrange groups of similar abilities and combine the coaching of new skills with games and competitions

Campus demonstrations

How do you introduce children to a new sport ? How about arranging a demonstration from the Swingfit team on campus. This overcomes any initial logistical issues about getting the children to a course or driving range and we can tailor the program to suit the group size and space available. In February of this year, we ran a similar initiative at the Knysna primary school giving each child a golfing taster. The program took place on the school playing field and over 700 child participated. A combination of games together with the basics of grip, stance and basic swing. It proved very popular and several of those children have continued with lessons. Since then, we have rolled this out to several schools in the Boland and the Garden Route.

Classes for Parents

Dear Parent, it is never too late to learn. Why not get a group of you together and have lessons. We can even arrange classes with another coach whilst your children are having a lesson if that works.

Girls Love Golf - Free Lessons!

Girls Love Golf is a Womens Golf South Africa initiative which aims to increase the number of girls playing golf in South Africa and take women's golf to the next level. The program is aimed at children between the age of 8 and 12 and provides them with a wonderful opportunity to try out the game. They will even pay for the first 8 weeks of coaching if your child signs up and shows commitment to the program.

Individual coaching

We have several juniors that have progressed through the group lesson phase, have joined a club and are now looking to get their handicap lower and participate in competitions. At Swingfit, we look at everyone as an individual and look at how we can unlock each child's golfing potential. Lessons cover video analysis, short game tests, distance control tests, long game accuracy tests, on course playing assessments, efficient practice routines and the mental side of the game. We also have a nutritionist, gym coach and sports physio available as part of the team should the need to arise to look at those areas which can affect performance. Our aim is to make the coaching educational, interactive and provide the junior with a toolkit so that he/she can work on their game out of lesson time and improve their performance on the course

Schools Squad Training

Schools Golf is growing in South Africa and there are several important competitions during the school year, notably the National High School and Primary School Championships and the St Johns tournament at Sun City which attracts an international field. Several schools have taken us up on a tailor made elite squad program which looks at developing the players in the team and preparing for the major schools events. We focus on shaping shots, on short game handicaps, on mental routines and take statistics from the training sessions so we can measure how each player is progressing.

Elite juniors

We are the official coaching partner to the Boland Golf Union and play a coaching role in the development of a number of Western Province teams. Our elite junior program contain an initial assessment covering all the factors of performance and then builds a tailor made training program based on what the player needs and how much time he/she has to practice.

Junior Memberships

We have created special memberships at our 3 Academy siteswhich have full playing and practice rights. These memberships

are available to anyone 21 years and under on the 1st day of each
year. This very competitive rate includes all green fees.
